Voluntary Local Report - On Sustainable Development Goals - Niterói
Descrição
The partnership between the Municipality of Niterói and UN-Habitat begins in 2017 through the project “Public Responsibility Systems to measure, monitor and report on sustainable urban policies in Latin America”. By participating in the project, Niterói and other Latin American cities in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), Bolivia (La Paz and Tarija) and Peru (Chimbote and Trujillo) are committed to promoting awareness, dissemination and implementation actions in line with the Goals of the Sustainable Development, which are a set of 17 objectives composed of 169 goals to be achieved by member countries of the United Nations by 2030.
This Report aims to map and analyze the development of the SDGs in the municipality of Niterói and, thus, reinforce management's commitment to the implementation of Agenda 2030 in the city. In addition, the development and publication of the report represents a very strategic action, since the report released worldwide projection to Niterói and will enable the city to apply for funds in new international funds from UN agencies. The indicators used were prepared in accordance with the parameters of the Strategic Plan Niterói Que Queremos 2013-2033 and with the Multiannual Planning of 2018-2021.
